The Applied Recognition Technology Laboratory (Arte-Lab) is a research laboratory within the Department of Theoretical and Applied Science (DiSTA) at the University of Insubria. Arte-Lab conducts cutting-edge research and development in computer vision, pattern recognition, and text mining under the direction of Prof. Ignazio Gallo.
The laboratory proudly maintains an affiliation with Alimentiamoci Srl, providing an excellent opportunity to test innovative research solutions in a real enterprise setting.
Additionally, Arte-Lab collaborates with the IREA Institute of the CNR in Milan to apply pattern recognition and data analysis techniques to remote sensing challenges.
Our research group is also at the forefront of advancing medical image analysis through innovative deep learning techniques, focusing on enhancing diagnostic accuracy and clinical workflow efficiency.
We are actively strengthening our interdisciplinary collaborations by partnering with the Dermatology Department of Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi in Varese, a center renowned for its high level of specialization and patient care.
Through this collaboration, we are jointly developing advanced image analysis tools that aim to improve dermatological diagnostics and support personalized treatment strategies.
